Art practice! Weather was awesome today! So I went and painted outside. Good practice session. Doing it again tomorrow.

I am attending Tyler School of Art Summer Intensive Painting Program from June-July. It’s somewhat similar to a residency but more “art school” like. I should be pumping out some great paintings hopefully! I will keep you posted of course. :-)

I painted this landscape after a long conference call in the evening. Hence the title…

I had a slew of crazy, stressful phone calls from managers, customers, and other coworkers this one night. I think I had enough, didn’t care about my notes, and just went to town and started putting down paint.

So I finally finished (or at least I think I did) this small watercolor piece. Took me forever to decide what to do and how to resolve just the horizon. Something just kept not feeling right. While working on different other paintings, I finally put color down and just went with it. Still not sure if it’s what I want still!

Fresh out of the oven this weekend! So excited! I actually had to make a tough decision to cut it down from the original size, but I am glad I did it.

I found this piece I made a while ago underneath a bunch of other drawings. I’m glad that it’s out for viewing because it is one of my favorites. Enjoy!

This one went through a lot of transition too before I decided to leave this as the final result:

I wish I documented the transition of this piece. It started off as a simple blue landscape and turned into this. HA! I guess for now I’ll call it…
