Art practice! Weather was awesome today! So I went and painted outside. Good practice session. Doing it again tomorrow.
I am attending Tyler School of Art Summer Intensive Painting Program from June-July. It’s somewhat similar to a residency but more “art school” like. I should be pumping out some great paintings hopefully! I will keep you posted of course. :-)
I painted this landscape after a long conference call in the evening. Hence the title…
Ctrl+Alt+Del, watercolor on a legal pad with notes from my conference call… 8x11
I had a slew of crazy, stressful phone calls from managers, customers, and other coworkers this one night. I think I had enough, didn’t care about my notes, and just went to town and started putting down paint.
So I finally finished (or at least I think I did) this small watercolor piece. Took me forever to decide what to do and how to resolve just the horizon. Something just kept not feeling right. While working on different other paintings, I finally put color down and just went with it. Still not sure if it’s what I want still!
