Art practice! Weather was awesome today! So I went and painted outside. Good practice session. Doing it again tomorrow.
Yeah! Go there and make me feel cool. It’ll be exciting!!
More images from my adventures in Philly.
More photos from my time at Tyler School of Art SPI.
This is my time at Tyler School of Art Summer Intensive Painting Program (SPI) in Philly this summer in a nut shell…..
I had good time making art despite how hot it was.
I have been somewhat internetless when I moved to Asheville. Now that I am in Albuquerque visiting grandparents, I have internet and have been able to catch up with all my admin art stuff like updating my website. Anyways… check it outtttt… and all the other stuff I plan on posting on Tumblr until I go off the grid again. :-)
I am attending Tyler School of Art Summer Intensive Painting Program from June-July. It’s somewhat similar to a residency but more “art school” like. I should be pumping out some great paintings hopefully! I will keep you posted of course. :-)
Just realized I haven’t uploaded this piece onto Tumblr yet. This is another Sunset/Sunrise painting. I like giving the / titles since the image can be interpreted as an either/or, and also works when upside down/flipped over (yeah I know, it sounds gimmicky, but I swear it isn’t!). For some reason, most of my pieces have started to turn out that way. Anyways…enjoy!
Sunset/Sunrise II, gouache on paper, 15” x 11 1/4”
I painted this landscape after a long conference call in the evening. Hence the title…
Ctrl+Alt+Del, watercolor on a legal pad with notes from my conference call… 8x11
I had a slew of crazy, stressful phone calls from managers, customers, and other coworkers this one night. I think I had enough, didn’t care about my notes, and just went to town and started putting down paint.
